Mr. Ridge was one of my favorite teachers. I would like to share a story that has stayed with me forever. I used to deliver newspapers after school, and every day Mr Ridge would pass by me on Parker Street. One day I was delivering and a German Shepard attacked me, driving by he jumped out of his car and pulled the dog off me. My thoughts and prayers to the family....Artie Fletcher

My sincere condolences to Russ' family. Always a gentleman and we had some nice talks when he would stop in at Forecourt just for a cup of coffee. Sometimes, the talks lasted for two cups.

I was so saddened to read in the newspaper of Russ's passing. He was a true gentleman and always had a smile. One could never feel "down" in his company as he always was so positive and upbeat. He was a terrific person and a great teacher. My sincere condolences to the entire family.
