Having been married to Carol’s oldest daughter Fran for the past 29 years makes it challenging to not want to write a novel about all the wonderful memories I have about her mother. Son-in-laws certainly have a unique role in the family dynamics. With that, I will share one story that has and will always live in the “remember whenâ€. Carol had been visiting Fran and I in Boca Raton, Florida. During her visit, two of our nieces also arrived, Colleen and Carolyn. It was a wonderful time watching the kids interact with grandma. But always too soon, the visit was over and everyone had to return home. So I drove Carol and the nieces to the Fort Lauderdale airport. Upon entering the outer perimeter, Carol says to me, “why are we at the Fort Lauderdale airport?â€. Puzzled, I responded, “because that is where I picked you up.†“Johnâ€, she says, “but I am flying out of Palm Beach.†Needless to say as I am sure you already guessed, we missed the flight, had to rebook new tickets, and travel to another airport later that day. Looking back, I would do it exactly the same way today if only to spend just a little more time with a woman that I loved with all my heart. She was, and will always be the best mother-in-law I could have ever imagined or hoped for. Carol – I will always think of you, miss you, and love you. Thank you for being a cherished memory for the rest of my life.

Anastasia,
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this time.
Sincerely,
Nancy J Beaudoin

As Fran and John's very new neighbors, we never had the chance to meet Carol but know she was a very special woman. Her loss will be heart felt by all those who knew and loved her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and may wonderful memories sustain you all. Chris and Brian
