I have had the fortune to work with Eugene directly for the past four years and by his side as a coworker before that. I will miss the animated conversation we had daily.
Rest in Peace

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing someone in death is one of the most devastating experiences one can face. May you find comfort in the words found at John 5:28,29 which says "The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." God promises to resurrect our dead loved ones and we will see them again.

Gen was really a very down to earth individual who made you laugh and smile when you least expected it. For those who did not know him, or were meeting Gene for the first, he gave the impression of being grumpy, but that was not the case. He was affectionately known to all of us as 'Grumpy Grandpa', but Gene was more than that. He was a hard working individual, dedicated to making sure things were done right, and let you know it when they were not. For this I thank him. To his family, I wish you all the best as you work through this difficult time, and may the prayers from all of use here in Taco Fall River bring some comfort. Bless you all.

My sincere condolences to the Gilbert family. I worked with Gene and his brothers at Taco. Though known as “Grumpy Grandpa†in the day to day, he always put his best foot forward on a job. It was always refreshing to see his joyful heart shine when sharing of his family and vacation experiences. He will be missed. My thoughts and Prayers are with you all.
