It is with great sorrow that we all witnessed the quick and painful decline of Mike’s health. Like many times before, he fought hard to beat an illness, but cancer often concurs all. Prior to 1997, Mike worked for my father, until my father died then of cancer too. Since that time, Mike has helped us repeatedly, 100s of times, with all sorts of projects, big and small. Even helping us move in to our first apartment in 1997. Mike sure knew his stuff, and worked hard to please and accommodate elaborate and ever changing plans. Mike knew about cars, electrical, plumbing, construction, wood work, cement work, gardening, painting, and so much more. He had some favorite sayings such as “If you like” (basic willingness to accommodate any request). “You’re the best”. “I’m sorry I couldn’t make it, but I will make it up to you”. “There it is!”. And so many others, I am sad thinking about them. Mike was also kind to my puppies, which showed how gentle he could be, even if his persona (smoking, tattoos, swearing, drinking, outlaw) may have led an outsider to think differently. We knew the real Mike though, always willing to help another, and would and did give the shirt off his back for others! Mike sure liked to live life to the fullest… he worked hard only so he could party hard afterwards. In the rare instance when Mike was flush with money, he was overly generous with everyone he knew. And he made sure to treat himself to a few goodies at Home Depot. At the end of each day, he looked forward to going home to his Kerri, which brought him so much happiness. We wish to send condolences to the family of Mike Kowal. May you be comforted by your family and by your friends. May you find comfort that you had a dad, a lover, or a brother, who had a good heart. There will never be anyone like Mike in this world.

To thy Angel Michael A. Kowal you'll always be in my heart and soul because you were like a brother to me and like a brother you were always there for me. You fought and fought and everyone was very much proud of you for that. May you watch over us in heaven and protect us from above. We will always love you and may god bless you always. Amen.

Mile you will always be remember and never forgotten.we will have all those stories to tell and they never get old..u were truly one of a kind. Love you bunches pops. Rest peacefully give my mom a big hug for me and tell her I miss her..
