ear Pasco (aka Mr. Pasquale de Carlo)
So sorry for your loss, all-in-all he was a dedicated professional and great provider to his family and the future you've had (&have) is a testament to that. How proud you made him.
I remember him showing me your picture as a young soldier ,hanging over the main bar at Jonny Shadows .. the gleam on his face was unforgettable. Of all the friends I've ever made in the adoptive child realm,,,
I've always thought you hit the Jack-Pot.
I hope life has been good to you.
Peace, Prayers and Love to you and your family.

Many people knew my grandpa from all different times during his 92 years of life. He was a son, a brother, a friend, a husband, a father, an uncle, a doctor... and the list goes on. To me, he was just my grandpa. He had a quiet kind of love that he may not have always expressed aloud, but you definitely felt it in the things he did. For example, when my parents got divorced, he used to show up once a month in his gray Saab, pop the trunk, and unload boxes of cereal, Hi-C, granola bars, ramen noodles and all kinds of goodies from BJ’s because he knew my mom was raising 4 children on her own. We used to spend every Wednesday overnight at my grandparent’s house and every evening you would hear a “Pssttttt, midnight snack?” he’d say. We would come out to the kitchen island to discover four bowls lined up. We would prop ourselves up on the back of chairs with our heads resting in our palms, wide-eyed as we watched him spoon ice cream, hot caramel, hot fudge, and whipped cream in to each dish. The next day we would go to school with the best packed lunch of bologna sandwiches, kudos bars, chips and all the goodies and junk that Mom wouldn’t let us have but that grandpa could fit in to a brown paper bag. He was the kind of grandpa that said things like, “What’d you go to night school?” When he found you doing homework without a light on. If you came to visit with shorts on he’d say, “Where’s the rest of your slacks?” When you greeted him with a “hey Grandpa,” he’d reply, “hey Grandma.” He used to make a bunny rabbit out of a napkin at every family gathering, even when I was in my twenties! He would hold it up in his hand and make it look alive waiting for you to notice. We’d giggle thinking we’re too old for bunny napkins but he’d just smirk as he tucked it away in his pocket. This was a man that used to recite poetry from memory (even when it wasn’t functioning like it used to) that would make you weep. He’d insert your name in the most loving and touching phrases. He also liked to tell naughty jokes. I won’t repeat any here, but ask me to tell you about the four kinds of “tea” sometime. I didn’t know everything about my grandpa. Just the other day I found myself awake in the middle of the night asking, what was grandpa’s middle name? I never knew it was Joseph. That’s the thing about death, there are still things to learn, stories to be told, and memories to be shared. But some things I know for certain; Grandpa I will miss you but I’m comforted knowing you and uncle George are finally reunited and I know that every time I tell you “I love you,” you are somewhere saying, “I love you back.”
Forever Grandpa’s girl, Minnelli

RIP Dr. Gareau. Our sincere condolences to the Family. My sister and I both worked for Dr.Gareau during our high school years at CFHS. We remember him to be kind and gentle. He was a stickler for how he liked things done at work. Answering the phone a certain way, filling patient files and cleaning. We learned a lot. When I walked in he would be humming or singing a song.
My sister saw him back in October and she was so happy he was able to meet her youngest son.

"Those we love can never be more than a thought away, for as long as there's a memory they live in our hearts to stay."

With sincere sympathy to Mrs.Gareau and Dr.Gareau's family. Dr.Gareau had charisma. He was kind, generous, and funny. He always made me laugh with all his stories like when he was in dental school he said he would sprinkle special powder on the dance floor so he could glide dancing. He was always singing and dancing to his golden music. Because of Dr.Gareau, I love golden music now. When I hear the golden music it brings me back to when I worked for him. Nice memories. At the end of our work day I would be tired, not him. He was still singing and dancing. I would say to myself, "How does he not get tired? He's the one who does the hard work, standing and talking all day while I sat at the desk." So funny. When I think of Dr.Gareau I smile.

Sincerely, Elizabeth.
