Composing the right sentences and picking just the right things to say about my PéPé would require infinite pages. To have the whole world understand how important he was to me and our entire family and friends is simply impossible with words. PéPé will live an eternal life in all of our hearts.

Our loss is Heaven's gain. It seems like just yesterday he sat laughing at Jo and I in her backyard as we were screaming empty threats at the kids. He will be missed!

I am so lucky to have had him in my life for so long and to have spent the time I have with him. He is in a better place and with his beloved wife now, but he will be missed by not just family, but by everyone whose lives he touched.

Where to begin... Over the years myself, Andrew, and Laurel along with the rest of the grandchildren he loved so much, have had the pleasure of having a man like Oscar Champagne as our grandfather. His positive outlook on the world, love for his family, and unrivaled sense of humor will remain in our hearts forever.
To my family: I wish more than anything in this world that I could be there with you all to remember our Grandfather. Just know I am thinking of all of you, miss you, and love you.
A poem for Oscar:
Sharing a laugh, leading us and providing a cue for the right thing to do.
Although I can not see you, I know you are there,
When I look up during the dark hours at those bright, luminary stars, I can see,
That it is you looking down, smiling upon me.
Watching, loving and protecting us every night and day,
Accomplishing that mission in your own special way.
When the gusts of wind blow, I know it is you
For the gentle breeze reminds us all how much you care.
When the treacherous seas are peaceful and calm,
I know it is you, holding the world in your delectable palm.
Providing us all with an enchanting life clue,
Which is to slow down, relax and enjoy the view.
It rains tears from the heavens above.
And I know it is you, sharing your unconditional love.
Reminding us all that we don't have to be as strong as stone,
For you are everywhere around us and we will never be alone.
We'll miss you Pepere
