My sincere condolences to Etta and all of Marty’s family. We were classmates at Holy Trinity and CFHS. He was a kind and compassionate friend to all who knew him. May he Rest In Peace as he is now reunited with his beloved wife, Jeannine, his son Michael and his parents.

Marty was my big brother who looked out for me (sometimes when he didn't want to) and someone I could count on. When I learned I had gotten into grad school in Boston, while I was in California on a cross-country trip -- it was a '70s thing -- I was at first elated, then sad. "I can't go," I told him over the phone, after he opened my acceptance letter for me. "I'll have to spend all my money just to get back home." He said, "Of course, you can go. We can always get money." And so we did.
He had more faith in me than I had in myself. I'll always be grateful for that.

My favorite memory of Marty at Holy Trinity was of him as an altar boy serving Mass in our glorious beautiful church.
He served with such seriousness but if you knew Marty it was because he respected the honor of being on the altar.
Marty had a great sense of humor and a generous spirit.
I was so saddened when I lunched with Etta and Dennis in December 2019 and learned of how ill he had been these past few years along with the heartbreaks of losing his son and wife.
Holy Trinity forever
Rest well my friend

Mr Walsh you will be missed. It was always such a pleasure to wait on you when you came into Rite Aid/Walgreens over the years. You are now with your Jeannine and finally at peace. To your family my they find peace in knowing you’re with those you love in heaven....May you smile at the good times and hold those close in your heart.

My deepest condolences to Etta and all of Marty's family. I always enjoyed our walks home from school and the fun talks we had. A very kind person to all. May he rest in peace as he is now with his beloved wife Jeannine and his son Michael.
