Matt was my first boyfriend way back and ages ago. He has always held a deep place in my heart. We have touched base over the years and stopped and chatted at our yearly accidental meet up at the Faire. We had spoken Tuesday about him coming to access my house for solar panels. I am so sad to have heard the news if his passing. He was a positive, fun, and adventurous light to everyone he met, which is evident by the many posts on Facebook. My heart truly aches for everyone who knew him, but even more so for those who missed the chance to.
Cheryl, Norm, Tara, and Ace all of my love and healing light to you. I'm here if you need anything.
Nichole, we don't know each other, but how Matt felt about you was all in his eyes from the first post I'd seen about you. I know exactly how you feel and if you ever need someone to scream or cry to that gets it, my ears are open for you. Love and light

I'm absolutely heartbroken by Matt's passing. A long, long time ago I was in puppy love with Matt Borek. My crazy, daredevil, heart of gold boyfriend who remained a good friend until I moved out of Rhode Island. I cherish our childhood memories. I didn't get to know you as an adult, but I'm happy to hear you kept shining your light and touching the souls of all the people around you. Rest in peace, my first love.
My condolences to Matt's family. I can't even imagine your pain, but I hope all the loving statements people have made about Matt in the last week bring you solace.

Matt (aka Splat)
You brought with you, wherever you went , a type of “magic†that is so rare , so special , if one thought they were living before , seeing and experiencing life through Your eyes , made you quickly realize the life you were living before , actually wasn’t really “living†at all . It was more that you were just simply existing.
Thank you for opening up my eyes , waking up my soul, and for letting me truly feel alive!
My love for you has never wavered , nor will the memory of how unique , and awe inspiring you were ever fade . Rest In Peace .â¤ï¸
Cheryl, Norm , Tara , Ace , Hanna, Nicole , And the rest of his family that loved him intensely,
I am so sorry for your terrible loss. May you take solace in the cherished memories Matt left behind, and know that his love & protection is there until the day you meet again â¤ï¸
