Richard’s work here on earth is complete. Despite profound sadness, and many unanswered questions—there is abundant light. Although family, those who are like family, and friends are grieving a tremendous loss, it is important to remember the countless gifts Richard left behind. Richard loved life and people. Richard was kind, and he believed in showing others hospitality without strings attached. Richard lived by example. He worked hard, and he played hard. Richard had an infectious smile and a contagious, playful nature. He lived for telling jokes and livening the spirit of others. Richard did not have a shy bone in his body. If music played, and no one was yet on the dance floor, Richard would immediately head to the dance floor and take it upon himself to get the party started right. If you did not know Richard, upon meeting him, you would never forget him if your path crossed his down the road. Undoubtedly, Richard will be dearly missed and not soon forgotten because he was truly a one-of-a-kind man. Richard left us with so many joyful memories to cherish. All of those who knew Richard are lucky to have been enriched by his generous spirit and the gift of his uplifting presence. Our collective prayer is that Richard rests in perfect peace. Amen.

Uncle Richard, which is my great uncle. The pandemic really messed everything up, with everything being so populated. I remember growing up as a kid living across the street from you on waverly street in Providence. And always picking me up from kindergarten. Even as I got older I always made it a point to always stop by around the 4th of July. Gonna miss you.
