How do you put a persons precious life into words? Looking at the names of loved ones you send letters to? Phone calls you recieved from a caring friend? Remembering special words you spoke? The laughter and the tears we cried together? Recounting the many steps you took in your lifetime on earth? I remember the heart and soul you put into your words about your God Jehovah and words of wisdom you gave to so many with conviction & strength. I remember the sacrifices of time you gave day after day for others. You shined very brightly with your love in a very dark and hateful world. You were a precious gem and faithful servant among jewels as one of Jehovahs friends till your last breath for his Kingdom. Gretchen was loved by so many. My husband & I and children loved her like family. Yup, we pretty much adopted her and Earline as family. She will be missed till we see her again and especially every Tuesday when she would sit in on our Bible Study with my student Brenda. Her friendship one one of a kind. I remember fishing, baking, dancing, studying, laughing, mexican dinners, shrimp fried rice, a good cup of coffee, lemon pound cake, fresh vegetables, painting, picnics, camping, playing and hiking with the kids, sitting together at meetings and assemblies, and all things purple! So, so many memories... Too many to list! My sweet sweet Gretchen how hard it is to say goodbye. So lets just say, "See you really soon." and sing "Its just around the corner." XO

I know my Aunt Gretchen is in Jehovah’s beloved memory. I was very young when she and Aunt Earlene moved away from Ala., so I didn’t get to see them much. But I knew she and Aunt Earlene loved me. There were occasional calls,cards and visits. I remember doing one visit Aunt Gretchen was making a cake and my sister ask what kind of cake you’re snd she goes “one with hands”... funny! I always said those 2 were peas in a pod, you didn’t see one without the other... I loved that. She was a good Aunt and loved Jehovah very much and always shared scriptures when we spoke. I love her and will truly miss her. 💐
