My heart aches with sorrow for her family and friends. Emerizia was one of the students I worked with at Baldwin Elementary and COZ after school program. I remember her sweet smile and friendly personality. I am not surprised to read about all her accomplishments. I knew she was going to succeed. To her family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. If better circumstances I would've reached out to you all in person and paid my respects. Pedro, Lina, Claudina & Erika, sending you a big hug. I'm so sorry for your loss.

To Emmy's family... my deepest sympathy to you. I work at Rhode Island College and first hired Emmy in 2014 as a phonathon caller,. She continued to work for the Alumni Association until she graduated. Always responsible, calm, friendly. We all LOVED Emmy. Many on our campus mourn her loss.
