I remember when Uncle Marcel took me to Disney World and made me feel like a million bucks in 1987 something. Sure, my dad worked at the parks and we'd been so many times I couldn't even begin to remember but this trip, this time, I sure do. He treated me like a celebrity. My dad was thrifty but with Uncle Marcel it seemed like a parade of treats and snacks and intoxicating wonderment for a little kid. Was even the first time I got to eat at a fancy sit down restaurant in the Magic Kingdom! Was a truly magical day and something I always especially remember whenever I'm visiting with my daughter hoping in some small way, I might could give her the same sense of happiness and wonderment and joy Uncle Marcel brought to me on that day. Now I know growing up, Uncle Marcel's thrifty too, just must have been something special about that day for us. I really looked up to him.
Life's somehow easier growing up in the shadows of Great men.
RIP Uncle Marcel.

Marcel was an amazing neighbor and friend. He was always giving us fresh veggies from his garden that I would can. We would give him trout and as much as he was afraid of dogs, especially our big boy, he would leave deer bones on the fence for them. I will definitely miss our conversations and watching him putt around the immaculate yard he kept up so nicely. He took pride in everything he did. I am grateful to have known him. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. May you smile as you think back on memories.

It is with heartfelt sympathy we leave this message. We are neighbors of Marcel fairly new to the neighborhood he welcomed from us from day one. His presence will be truly missed just seeing him working around the yard, cutting the neighbors grass, or walking over to bring me an enormous zucchini. He will be missed. May he rest in peace!
