I couldn’t be as strong as I once was . I couldn’t shake the thought of seeing you lifeless. I held on to the smiles , the laughs , the tears that once crawled down your face in moments of fear . I couldn’t come to terms with not seeing your radiance . To not feel an aura so young and loving like I always did when you came around. I’ll miss it ….I’ll miss you everyday . From little boys running around role playing jak and Daxter , to our walks in the mornings and afternoons to grade school , going to high school together , and even seeing you become a father of two beautiful girls . I witnessed enough moments of vulnerability with you to know that you truly were innocent . Beyond the tattoos , hair braids , and the tough exterior you were one big teddy bear looking for the love you felt you deserved . I know deep in my heart that you must’ve found peace - I felt it with the subtle message you left me last night . So to you I say Rest In Peace brother and I’ll catch you on the other side Jose .

My brother Jose, it hurts me to know you are no longer here with your loved ones. We shared great moments in middle school. I remember when you first picked up a skateboard after conversations we had about my passion of the sport. You carried a bright smile and were always ready to embark a new journey. I wish I can relive the days we shared just talking about music, our passions, and laughing up storms from jokes we told. I would always remember it. I love you. I know you will always watch over your family and kids. You are missed dearly. You will forever shine bright.
