We only met Walter once, and that was enough to be unforgettable—as cousins to Walter (through his grandmother Helen Cahill Doyle), my brother and I reconnected with Walter and his sister Wanda in 2020. On a visit to Attleboro, Walter and June welcomed us, regaled us with family stories, and escorted around Attleboro in our shared family history. We are so saddened to hear of Walter’s passing, and send our condolences to June, Walter’s sister Wanda, and his family and friends.

June, Wanda and family - So sorry to hear of Walter’s passing. He was such a charismatic person. I truly missed seeing him over the years - saw him now and again at my sister Theresa’s house. Exchanged many funny and interesting family tales (mostly Doyle tall tales)! My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

Dear Walt, You and I weren't friends for long but it felt as if we'd known each other for much longer. I enjoyed our many conversations about life, the world, and everything in-between. To me you were like a wise old sage, a philosopher of sorts, whose wisdom I have taken to my own heart. That being said, you were also a "wild and crazy guy" full of mischief and fun. Richard and I will miss you terribly but we will have June to remind us of you. I can imagine us this summer saying to each other, "What would Walt say about all this?" and, of course June would know and we'd all laugh because she'd be sooooo right. We're missing you so very much, but your spirit is so bright within us. Until we meet again, my friend...

Dear Junie, Michael and I were very Saddened and Upset to learn of dear Walter's passing. He was taken much too young! I am very sorry that he suffered too. He did not deserve that! Walt was such a Wonderful person, with a great sense of humor. I will forever remember the 'egg' joke between him and Jim- every time I need a laugh, I remember that; as well as all the joking and Laughter that Walt so dearly loved! The world has lost a Great person! With much Sympathy & Love, Sheree & Michael
