Manny is in heaven right now if for no other reason than the way he made all who knew him or were blessed to experience his music feel so welcomed and so good about themselves. I was fortunate enough to have told him this about 6 months ago and I thank God for that. In losing Manny so many of us will feel that a part of our past also went with him. God rest his soul.

To the Barros Family, my deepest sympathy, Manny was a class act,and a lost to many communities. I had the honor of singing with him once in N.B., with my cousin Tiny. It is a time, I will cherish. Manny was a different breed of entertainer,he wasn't full of himself and he didn't try to hit on all the woman that were falling over him. He was about his music. I will always have a deep respect for him. God bless his family for sharing him with us. Manny rest in Peace.

To Manny's family, my deepest sympathy. Words can't express the sadness that Manny's passing has brought to those who knew him. I have known Manny since my days growing up in New Bedford and hanging out in Providence. He was a gentlemen's gentleman. I can remember seeing him perform at nurmerous events/ clubs. We would start reminising about the old days-then he would call his buddy "Tiny" to chim into our discussions. He was a class act and I know he is up in heaven performing on the "Big Stage". Manny, rest in peace.
