I met Janet when I lived in Norfolk and she was working at my bank. I always enjoyed our conversations and watching each other's family grow up. Although I have not talked to her in a long time it saddens me to know her life is over at such a young age. God bless.

It is with sorrow that we mourn the passing of our long-time employee Janet Grudain. Janet was a special “salt of the earth†kind of person; she was extremely likeable with a heart of gold and possessed a lot of class. It is with sadness that we say goodbye to our co-worker and friend Janet. Janet’s spirit filled our Norfolk branch with her laughter and smiles. Always willing help without complaint. My most heartfelt sympathies to you all..and fond memories of a dear play pal on those weekends in Lonicutt..and our walks to school in the morning come to mind because she gave me the gift of laughter the whole walk! We still cannot believe we lost our beloved Janet at such a young age. We were so glad to visit her at the hospital last month.
We cannot tell your heart what it's feeling - we can only guess. We also do not know how much time it will take for it to heal from this loss, but we hope your memories of Janet, though sad/sweet, help her to live on.

I went to school in Attleboro with Janet and became good friends after High School when we worked for Attleboro Savings Bank. We lost touch over the years, but I have fond memories of Janet's great personality and kind heart. My condolences to the family and may you find comfort in your memories.

Janet, So many times I wish that I could trade off some of the pain that you went through.Whenever times were tough for either of us,we always had each other.Being my sister you always opened your heart to me whenever I was in need for any support,I always had your listenning ears and always felt better after our talks.I will never forget all the good times we had growing up and sticking up for each other whether we were right or wrong.I guess God needed you in Heaven and I'm sure he has a special place for you there.But knowing you,whatever your doing,your not complaining.You fought your battle as long and hard as you could,maybe more than most.You were always proud of who you were.I miss you!!!!

Oh Janet, My Dearest Friend, how I have thought of you so many times. I was a bit late to the use of the internet but when I finally took the plunge, I tried so many times to locate you over the passing years. I figured you had married but didn’t know your name. Today, our friendship again came to mind and I finally found you all to late (on your brother’s obituary of all things) I have never forgotten, nor will I ever, what you and your family’s kindness did for me the Spring year of graduation …not only taking me in but helping me find and set up my own apartment - it allowed me to return to Attleboro High and graduate with you and my own classmates… you were a special and dear friend… and all those secretarial skills really did came in handy…and oh, your ability to crack a joke at the precise moment I ever needed it still sits deeply in my heart. Such a gift you were to me and so many others! I am sorry for your children’s and husband’s loss, the joy you brought to life made you a very, very special person. Your uniquely authentic Sunshine made the world such a much better place. I sit here crying… your light danced and shown so bright, I can only think that G-D needed you for something more.
