My deepest condolences on the passing of Mr.Polo. Many fond memories of teaching Linda and Leigea in my early years at Lincoln! (Ted too) . Then I was lucky enough to teach the Sliney kids!!! Two great families that I’ll never forget! Again, I am so sorry for your loss!

Just learned of Carl's passing through another ping-pong player...very saddened. Now I know why I hadn't been able to reach him. He was special to me and I believe it was mutual. I planned to call with birthday wishes on 12/3.
As a father, grandfather and great- grandfather, Carl was truly proud of his family ... spoke about all with much love and joy.
For us at ping-pong, he became our cultural guru sharing many complimentary tickets to concerts, plays, etc. Personally, I attended a number of events with him...pleasant memories, especially those at the Tennis Hall of Fame.
I will remember Carl's overall enthusiasm and energy... for any
who tried, efforts to keep him in check were difficult, as he was unwilling to let age get in his way.
Now, may he rest in peace.
With most sincere condolences,
Joan Foley

Linda, Tyler, Liz and Eric, the times we were together with Dad and Grampa he was always interested in what we had to say and we were always able to find intrigue in his stories. A man with many interests he was able to converse and share his experiences with people of all ages. A trait many of us could learn from. Hoping you remember the good memories.
