I was so sorry to learn of Bia's death, she was my father Arthur Moniz's cousin and although I didn't see her often I remember her decorating the tree at the Cape Verdean Club for the Mastro on more than one occasion. Bia was known throughout the Cape Verdean community for her tireless efforts in collecting clothing and many other items for the community both here and in Cape Verde. She lived a long and productive life and was dedicated to anyone who needed her help. May she rest in peace with Our Lord because she served him well and we will surely miss her.
