Ralph, Thank You, for instilling an appreciation of landscapes and city parks. Your work and vision carry on through the eyes of family and friends. How fortunate I am to walk Roger Williams Park and others with you as my guide. Our conversations, the sharing of your vast library, and frequent trips to your freelance projects will always be remembered. Richard and your new garden have been awaiting your arrival. Be Well my friend! Jackson

I have wonderful memories of the house in Greene and the wonderful company of Ralph and Richard. They were consummate hosts, and always wonderful to be around.

Ralph . . . wonderfully provocative. With Ralph, you were never quite sure where the conversation would go, but the trip was usually accompanied with smiles and hoots. You couldn't be passive with Ralph . . . you had to have your wits about you, and that was a good thing. And Ralph's eye for looking at a blank landscape and making it come alive . . . we all know about that. And Ralph and Richard together . . . so very civilized. Keep on pruning, dear Ralph.
