Losing a loved one in death is unbearably painful. May you find continued comfort in the scriptures (Revelation 21:3-5), from the love of family and friends and from the God of all comfort "....While you throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7
I went to school with Dougie and some of his siblings and also knew them from the East Side. I was sorry to hear of Dougie's passing,
My deepest sympathy to the Metts family. I am very sorry for your loss.

To Damali and the rest of the Metts family from Larinda and the Wright family, our sincere condolences. May the LORD God of all comforts and mercy, comfort and give you peace as you walk through your time of bereavement. Dougie and I were schoolmates. We also were classmates at OIC in the program that opened the door for him to work at Sears. Even though not as close as some, we were friends (“we,” Dougie, Gladys, and I). The kind that lite up and hugged when we seen one another—always talking about good times, with a laugh or two. I was saddened to hear of his passing.
