Sonya was one of the first people I met at the Journal. Sorry to hear of her passing, but, what a wonderful life she led!

Sonya has no living relatives. Her "family of friends" at First Unitarian is preparing her memorial service, to be held on May 18, one day after what would have been Sonya's 90th birthday. Anyone who has memories of her to share or who would like to participate may contact me, Nori Duncan, at nori.duncan@gmail.com

Sonya was a real lady. I truly enjoyed her company whenever I drove her to her various appointments. I was so sorry to read about her passing.

Sonya was a good neighbor with a beautiful garden. We used to sit on the front steps talking. She loved walking her dogs. It was a pleasure knowing her and living across the street from her.

I’m glad I got to meet Sonya through the Providence Village. She was a reporter and had great stories to tell. A life well lived and she is missed.
