I am very saddened that Russ is no longer physically here with us. I met him 9 years ago while working with HUD. You see, I was purchasing my very first home in RI and since I was only 8 months out of school, single and new to New England the process was a bit intimidating. So I shared my concerns with a co-worker who introduced us. From the very beginning Russ provided the support and resources I needed to feel more comfortable about the process. Once I located the house I was interested in he went as far as asking a family member to drive by the property and surrounding area to ensure it was located in a desirable neigborhood. Once he gave the thumbs up I purchased my first home and relocated my mother & siblings to live with me. He then shared tips on how to manage the 1.5hr commute from RI to Boston, where to find free parking and the best places to shop. He was a wealth of information, always encouraging and simply a wonderful person to know. I will miss him dearly.

As a young boy, he always wanted to hang with his two big brothers Sassy and Bud...
He soon grew older and bigger than all three of us. His name in near the top of the list of beautiful people with a spirit of giving and doing "good" deeds...
He remains 'loved' and will be sorely missed by all.
My condolence to Earl, Sassy - Mary Ann & family and to all of Russ' family.
PEACE and love to all !!!

To the Archibald Family,
We both can not beleive that Russell has went home to be with the Lord. God knows best, we cannot question Why. We all have fond memories of Russell. He made the best meatloaf in Rhode Island, that will be missed. Russell would not want us to be sad, but rejoice in the time we did have. Gone but not forgotten

To the Family::
After having read about your loved one in the obituary, it brought to mind the promise that the Bible holds out atÂ
Revelation 2l:3,4 where it says that the Grand Creator Jehovah God will wipe away sickness and death forever. (Psalms 83:18) It is at that time all the pressures of this world will be gone and people can be happy and enjoy life like we were created to do. I am sure that your loved one; and many other people, would enjoy living at such a time and that is what Jesus' words promise:
"Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." (John 5:28,29)
Many families like yours will reap rich blessings and be reunited with their lost loved ones.(John 17:3)
We truly hope these scriptures can be of comfort.

I was fortunate enough to bowl with Russ for the last three years at Town Hall Lanes. Every Wednesday night, he was always full of smiles, stories, and some incredible recipes. Our little league won't be the same without him, and he will be sorely missed.

My deepest condolences go to the Archibald family.
I was shocked today when I heard of the passing of Russ. He was a very nice man. We both worked in Boston, Massachusetts, and met over 15 years ago on the commuter rail train. Russ was pleasant and helpful and we shared many conversations regarding family, work, commute, and vacation. When he commenced working few days a week from home, I told him that I envied him. He will surely be missed.
May Russ' soul rest in perpetual peace.

Russell was like a brother to me. I knew him for 23 of the 25 years as my Hud colleague. He and I shared many thoughts and ideas together. Russ had a way of making people feel good or by cheering them up. He had a nickname for everyone including me and he fondly called me " Meathead". Russ had a concern for everyone and a deep committment to civil rights. He will be greatly missed.
My sincere condolences to Renee and to the family.

I was shocked to learn of Russ' death. I met Russ in his role as a civil rights investigator for HUD. He investigated several complaints I filed on behalf of clients and he was an excellent investigator and skilled mediator. Over the years I also got to know Russ as a person who had led a very interesting life and who spoke with great love of his family, friends and church.

We are saddened to just hear of Russ' passing. May he Rest in Peace. We met Russ almost 17 years ago when we were fighting the Town of Falmouth. For the right to continue to run our Sober Houses for men recovering from drugs and alcohol. We spent some time with him. He was so helpful, knowledgeable and fair. Thanks to him we won our right to continue doing our work and laid the groundwork for others to do the same. God bless him. And his family
