Condolences to the family. Many a good memory working with Gerry so many years ago in the RI Air Guard. One of my favorite memories was when we went to Frankfurt, Germany with our C-119’s and a bunch of us took the train to Strasbourg, France. Gerry was our translator!!! Good times... Rest in peace old friend…..

Gerry was an incredible person a mentor and role model for many years. Be it Troop 2, or the 143 Airlift Wing, Gerry was always there when you needed him. A great father, volunteer and brother in arms, he will be sorely missed. One of the few remaining of the greatest generation.

I have many memories of Mr. Gerry Cournoyer. He was Mr. C to us boy scouts and everyone involved with Camp Ker-Anna. I can vividly remember times when Mr. C would back up a pickup truck to the side door of the main house at Camp Ker-Anna, a truck filled with food to feed a Camp full of youth and staff. Mr. C would do the food shopping! He was always willing to swing a hammer at Camp on a Saturday. You often found him there. And to how many camping trips did Mr. C drive the bus for us youngsters? Too many to count. Mr. C was a good man and we were the recipients of his many good works. He was one hard-working guy who got things done, a fine role model. He will be remembered with fondness and appreciation by many.

Gerry, you will be missed, whether from Troop 2 Scouts back in the day or the 143 CAMS when I first arrived. God bless you…
