You taught me a lot. More importantly, I looked up to you. Strived to reach your level of skill for years. When I did, you supported me. Thank you for everything. You always insisted I take 20 dollars to buy my kids a gift for you on their birthdays. My youngest will always remember Kenny chocolate thanks to all the chocolate bars you sent me home with for her. I remember how proud you were showing me pictures of your daughter and her new home. I hope deeply that you had the opportunity to express that to her. Rest easy, my friend. You pushed yourself 100 percent for 100 percent. Take your break and watch over your loved ones.

Father, I miss you profoundly. Your boundless generosity and unwavering selflessness were virtues you sought to instill in me, and I hold them close to my heart as a testament to the man you were. The weight of your passing lingers heavily upon my soul, and I am tormented by the cruel manner in which you were taken. Yet, I find solace in knowing that I was by your side, doing all within my power to ensure that you did not suffer. That relentless nasopharyngeal tumor, cruelly entwined with your vital structures—the carotid artery, the very essence of life—was an adversary beyond our control. Still, I fought for you in every way I knew how.

Your absence is an ache that time cannot dull, but your spirit remains interwoven with mine. I honor you, not just in memory, but in the way I strive to embody the virtues you lived by. You are not gone—you are carried within me, always.
