Mrs. Duarte was a dear, dear lady that I loved very much. she was more than a friend, she was like a mother, grandmother and friend all rolled into one. She was an inspiration, doing all she did in spite of the fact that she was blind. I admire her for that. I loved visiting with her every Saturday until she moved to Pawtucket. We would talk about the good ole days and the neighborhoods that we both were familiar with. I missed those visits. But I would go to see her at her at Charmine's when I could. What a blessing she was, I ask you Who did not love Mrs. Durate ? God Bless the entire family, may peace be with you all. I will truly miss, Ms. Dorthy may she rest in peace.
