Your love was unmatched and your faith is inspiring. You were not only my Sister but a great friend and confidant. You protected me as a little kid and continued to teach me as an adult. I love you and will always miss you.

Auntie Sue,

I regret that we never had the chance to see one another, one last time—before your unexpected Ascension into God's Kingdom. Alas, the Lord had other plans for His suffering servant. As difficult as that is for us to comprehend, who is man, to question God's perfect plan?

I'll always cherish those weekend sleepovers at your 1st house on Jutras St! You and Uncle Pete always came up with these fun and creative adventures, that would've excited any 4-8-year-old boy!

We did everything from, hunting for long-lost pirate treasures, to scaring me into believing there were monsters in your basement! You two always had a way of making me feel normal, allowing me to forget about my disability when I was growing up! I remember really looking forward to going to your house on the weekends, for that exact reason! It was a place to escape, after getting bullied about my disability by the kids at school.

Auntie, I'll never forget the way you always lit up the room with joy, whenever you entered it! Honestly, I think that's the thing I'll miss the most about you! I used to love going to the restaurants that you waitressed in, your love of people knew no bounds, and it showed, by the way you loved your job! You were a model of what a true disciple of Jesus Christ should look like!

Another thing I truly loved about growing up around my Aunt and Uncle was after my cousin, Pete Jr. was born; By that time, I was getting older, so overnight sleepovers weren't as practical anymore. But, some of my best memories or of us going to the Bristol 4th of July parade! That, plus every summer, we'd all go to the Drum and Bugle Corp competitions at Pierce Field in E.P. together!

I wish I could list every great memory I had, but it's not about me. My apologies if I went on a bit too long. Those of you who don't know, due to my current wheelchair situation, I won't be able to attend the wake or Church Services.

You were, are, and always will be, the best aunt, and godmother I could've asked for! I'm so sorry that I distanced myself from the family for so long. But I'm eternally grateful that we had the opportunity to reconnect 3-4-years ago, and I'll cherish our conversations, and I'll always save the last and most beautiful voicemail you left me, telling me how much you loved me, the night you went into the hospital.

Uncle Pete, I am so sorry for your loss. You're all in my thoughts and prayers always. If you were to look up the definition of a devoted husband in the dictionary, your picture would show up beside the text! Especially, considering the US has a 41% divorce rate. But the two of you held true to your marriage vows, and were there in sickness, and in health, through the happy times, and the sad times.

Cousin Pete, I'm terribly sorry for your loss. I know it's gonna be difficult, but you need to try to remember your Mom the way she would've wanted you to; That means, keep the good memories in your heart, and ask God to to take the pain, caused by the more difficult memories. Trusting in God's plan, (especially during times like this—when we don't understand it), is easier said than done. This is why it is so important in times like this, that we need to double-down on our Faith; Keeping in mind that, we'll all be reunited someday soon, when Jesus returns!

Please know, you guys are always welcome to stop over to visit, and/or call me any time, and the same goes for Pete Jr. and Staci also. If this has taught us all anything, it's that life is too short, and in times like these, families should stick together.

Love always,

Steven J. Tetreault, & son, Ethan King-Tetreault - (Cumberland, RI)
