Derick, please know I will never forget you. You meant so much to me, deep down I know you knew that... Even when you would take your soccer stuff off because you were mad and I would make you come back into the game. I know how much your family meant to you and you would do almost anything for anyone. I had the pleasure of having a lot of classes with derick in high school, he was always loved by everyone. I can't imagine him having an enemy in the world. We shared a lot of laughs and I'm very sad to hear of his passing. My sincerest condolences to his family. You should be very proud of him.

I don't even know where to begin. I can't believe that I'm getting t-shirts for your wake and your no longer with us. It's surreal.. I honestly can not believe that he is gone. Him and I was together for sometime about 5 years ago. I remember all of the good and positive energy he brought into my life. His family meant the world to him, he loved and admired his parents and siblings and his world was his nieces and nephew. He was an amazing soccer player...
