My heart broke and my eyes welled with tears just now as I read this news. Your Mom was a beautiful, classy lady, and a wonderful Mom to all you kids. i haven't had the pleasure of meeting all of the grandchildren you gave her, but I am positive that she was a wonderful Grandmother as well. I can see her, in her nursing uniform at the old house on Rhodes Street, getting ready to leave for work..or maybe she was just getting home from work as we kids trashed the house and ate up all the potato chips that had been stored in the oven!! Lol .. I know your hearts are broken, but I also know that you all have strong faith in God, and you know that she will always be watching over you from above with pride... I'm so sorry to hear of your unexpected loss,your mom will be sadly missed. I had the pleasure to work with Doris for over 25 years at Memorial. What an amazing woman,with a great personality, always happy to connect with her co-worker and thoroughly enjoyed conforting her patients. I's nerver easy saying "good bye"... but we have to remember we are promised a place where we once again will meet again...
