My family and I had the pleasure of spending this past Christmas Eve with Jessie, and we had such a great time listening to her stories about her childhood and her life. I had been around her many times over the years, but that night she talked more than ever and we enjoyed her company so much!

She was a remarkably strong woman, a real character and a good friend to everyone in our family, including my mother. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to know her.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to the family and friends. The God of comfort reassures us that he is near to those broken at heart and crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We are thankful to know we will see our loved ones again because of the loving hope of the resurrection (John 5:28, 29). Let those precious memories of your dear loved one Jessie be foremost in your thoughts. Draw comfort from these wonderful times together and cherish them in your hearts. With deep respect I offer my sincere sympathy to all of you who knew and loved her. I hope these thoughts along with God’s Word the Bible provide you with a measure of comfort during this difficult time (Psalms 83:18).
