It's hard to put into words what an inspiration and profound impact Pepere had in my life growing up. I will always cherish countless fond memories of our time spent together, whether it was shooting hoops in the driveway, listening to the Red Sox games on the radio together, or chasing down cans on one of our walks through Jenks Park. I will never forget all the advice and words of wisdom that he shared with me over the years. I feel very blessed to have had such a loving friend, mentor, and grandfather. I take solace, even through the deep pain of his passing, that he is now up in Heaven beside Memere and the rest of the Lord's angels. I think I speak for my brothers and all my cousins when I say we love and miss you Pepere, and your memory will never be forgotten.

To all my dear Sawyer cousins, we wish to extend our deepest sympathies for the passing of your father. He was a very good and honorable man and a good God-father to me.
It is with fond memories that I recall the times our families would get together for picnics or holiday get-togethers on St. Cecile Av. in Woonsocket with Pepere & Memere.

My wife and I would like to express our deepest sympathy over the loss of Mr. Sawyer. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. When we read Genesis 1:28 and 31, we find that sickness and death were not a part of God's original purpose. How thankful we are that our grand Creator plans to restore his original purpose and make it possible for all mankind (including loved ones we have lost in death) to live forever under perfect conditions. (Revelation 21:3-5; John 5:28,29) It is our hope that these words bring you a measure of comfort during this difficult time.
