The Entire Hindy Family, L was the BEST!!!! so many laughs over the years. I will always remember that gorgeous smile and amazing voice. She could light up the room like no one else. Dear Brenda, Brian and the Hindy and Baskins Family, I was so sorry to read about your beloved Elaine's passing. I will never forget the first time I met her. It was after school at your house on Tremont. I think we were about 11 years old. She was so nice and so pretty, and she laughed so hard when I told her she sings better than the Supremes! As the years passed, I'd see her from time to time in the city and she was always smiling and very stylish and elegant. Elaine has been my friend since we were 5 years old at Kendall St. School. We stayed together until second grade, went to different schools, then reconnected ten years later as 15 year olds----sophomores at CFHS. We picked up where we had left off----we were "forever friends". I'll always remember her smile, kindness and laughter. I'll always be grateful for having her in my life. Dear Lisa,Joe, Brenda and Baskin/Hindy family,
I just found out my dear dear friend has passed.So many memories are running through my mind.It seems so hard to believe that she was just 24 when we met.As you know, she, Barbra Ruffo, Sue Odom and my mom Carole were like the 4 Musketeers. And when my mom died so young she was my anchor.That is because she was the big sister I always dreamed of.
But Elaine was something special to EVERYONE who was lucky enough to share her life. People's day would be made if she did as little as share that beautiful smile of her's with them. Her wit and sense of humor was legendary to me.Oh and that VOICE! We would muse all the time of her coming to Cali to break into showbiz!
But she always would say that any fame or fortune she could ever obtain would pale in the true happiness she had raising her beloved children and having her wonderful family by her side.
In all your pain, I hope you all know that the angel who watches over you all is the STAR soloist in the heavenly choir she has now joined.
