Dear Auntie Lucille, Jane, Victor, Lisa and families,
We send our love and sincerest condolences on your loss of Uncle Tony, a truly unique and special man. I have always described him as a "Renaissance Man" because he had so many different and brilliant gifts and talents. I recall as a child going on a class trip to the Veterans' Auditorium to see a concert (Handel's Messiah, I think). I was SO PROUD to tell my classmates that it was my Uncle Tony up there on stage playing the bass in the orchestra! I knew of his outstanding, award-winning painting, "Poppies in a Field" and our family still has his magnificent painting of Jesus' face. I remember feeling awe seeing the violins he so artfully crafted. I recall his years traveling to play music professionally. That was the "artiste" Uncle Tony. Then there was the "character" Uncle Tony - he knew the intricacies of authentic Chinese cuisine and global coffees..He was so, so funny telling stories that he could have been a regular on late-night TV talk shows! I remember being a kid and trying to sleep while Uncle and Auntie Lucille were over my parents' house many, many nights, eating antipasto and drinking wine and laughing endlessly at all the stories he had. And there was the generosity and hospitality of all those Sunday afternoons my siblings and I -true city kids -came to the farmhouse in the rural woods of Lincoln and were treated to the delights of an environment foreign to us - a barn with horses and other animals, bird nests with hatchlings, owls, snakes...as well as a warm and welcoming country home, with lots of goodies for us each time. I just loved when Auntie called him "Antoine" - so continental! He remained dapper, handsome, sharp-witted, curious and so genuine and warm, always with that impish twinkle in his eye, right into older age. I have so many fond and unforgettable memories of a beautiful man, inside and out. Our prayers are with your entire family.

To our friends Jane and Dennis. May you draw close to God at this time. To know that a loved one, your dad, has passed from this world to a promised land. There is no pain or sorrow with the Lord our God. So I pray to Jesus that He comforts you both at this time. Paul says to always be joyful in times of sorrow or in trials.
The Lord our God is always with us. Remember the good times with Anthony, and know that there will be a day where you will see him again. May God keep His favor on your family and His joy and peace also.

Auntie Lucille, cousins Jane, Lisa & Victor. I am so sorry about the passing of your husband, father & my Uncle Tony. I have only the fondest of memories of him as I was growing up. How I looked forward to going out to Lincoln to enjoy riding horses with you Jane and spending time with Victor & "baby" Lisa. I was so fascinated by my uncle's talent in painting & violins. I also remember how happy & excited he was when he received the award for "Poppies in the Field". I actually went to the festival to see him & his painting that year. You have no idea how proud I was to tell peopple my Uncle Tony was the Bassist for the Philharmonic. I remember attending concerts when he would be playing. To this day I brag on him for that and all he did to help form my life. I will trully miss him and hope he has found peace with our Lord & Grandpa & Grandma. I wish I could have been there today with you all. I am sure you know my heart & spirit was. All my love, Steve.
