To the Mowry Family, I didn't know Dorothy personally, but I know it is very hard to loose someone you love to death. I lost my father at the age of 74, He would be 82 this year. It was a difficult time for me, but what brought me comfort is what we read in the bible about death. It say's at Isaiah 25:8 That God (Jehovah) "will swallow up death forever" and will "Wipe the tears from all faces". And also a scripture of comfort is what Jesus himself said at John 5:28 29 He will "call all those in the memorial tombs out to a resurrection right here on earth. Please read these verses for yourself and find comfort in them as I have. Or visit JW.org and read more.

Condolences to my brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and all of their children on Mom and Nanny’s passing. We will all surely miss her as she held a special place in all of our hearts.
A very strong woman who raised 10 children basically on her own. She kept us all together under one roof under some very trying circumstances and insured we had food, shelter and the necessities required to grow up. This was not an easy task with us ten!
However, thinking back with a wiser mind we realize she displayed incredible leadership, love and caring and set an example of how one person can impact and direct people in the most difficult challenges. She was a woman to be dealt with when it came to her kids, she always stood up for us even when wrong.
I am sure you are all telling some of the funniest stories when remembering her and laughing really hard.
We and the world is a better place because of her.
Rest in peace Mom

We did not have the pleasure of having met Nanny but we are very fortunate to know several wonderful people of which she had an influence on. She must have been an incredible woman because the children, grand children and great grand children that we have had the pleasure of meeting are all amazing, loving and caring individuals. She will live on in every one of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
