Bill was the proprietor of Statewide Photo for many years.
He worked as a news photographer for Reuters, The Sun Chronicle, New York Times and the Associated Press. He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast who loved to ride his Heritage Softail. He was a longtime member of the APA Pool Leagues.
Bill was the son of the late Theresa and Robert W. Powers and is survived by a brother, Robert J. Powers and Sister-in-Law, Veronica A. Powers of Cotuit, MA, 3 nieces, Michele Nota, Colleen Powers MD, and Stephanie Powers, a nephew, Michael Powers Esq. and Debra's children, Sara Switzer and Chris Cicchelli, grandsons, Renato and Enzo Switzer.
A funeral service will held Friday at 12:30pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Friday morning from 10am to 12:30pm. Flowers are omitted.
