He was the son of the late Jose and Idilia (Duarte) Costa. He had been employed by General Cable for many years.
John is survived by two sons, John Costa Jr. and Johnathan Costa, a daughter, Jennifer Costa, three brothers, Jose Costa, Avelino Costa, Manuel Costa, 14 sisters, Rosa Lopes, Dulinda Dalomba, Maria Pires, Laura Rosa, Elisa Goncalves, Ilda Almeida, Belmira Silva, Isabel Costa, Delores Gomes, Ecilda Johnson, Laura Rodrigues, Berta Gilmete, Mimi Rodrigues and Carolina Ramos He was loved by many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church, Front Street at 10am.
Burial will be graveside in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket,. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Friday 5 to 8pm.
