63, of Providence, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 27, 2014 after a brief illness. Bill attended Central Falls High School and later obtained a Bachelors degree from Roger Williams University. He had worked for Butler Hospital for 9 years. An advocate of the 12 Step Program, he spent much of his life helping others. He loved being by the water and taking trips around New England, especially Point Judith, Jamestown and New Hampshire. Bill enjoyed hiking, cycling and photography. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and his caring nature. Bill was the beloved father of Kasey Ryan and his wife Marlena of California, Falin Ryan of Florida and Meghann Laduca and her husband Jason of Florida; devoted grandfather of Foster Ryan, Ailee and Liam Warner, Lindley Laduca and Josiah, Abigail, Jacob and Jonah Ryan; dear brother of Patricia "Patty" Ryan of Cumberland, Kathy Ryan of Pawtucket, Robert Ryan of California and Thomas Ryan, Acting Chief, Londsdale Fire Dept. and his wife Pam of Lincoln and the late Jo Ann Ryan; and a loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Bill also leaves many caring family and friends. Following cremation, all are welcome to his Celebration of Life, Sunday, June 1st from 12-4 p.m. in Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln.
