(Boudreau) 98, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 2nd. She was the wife of the late Arthur E Patenaude and the late Joseph Kotlarski.
Born in Canada, she was the daughter of the late Firman and Merilda (Beaudoin) Boudreau.
She had been employed in the textile industry in the Pawtucket area and a proud member of the ILGWU before retiring.
Germaine was a former member of the Notre Dame Women's Club, & The Royal Travelers. She loved
dancing, playing cards, fudge, and chocolate - and was tireless in all these pursuits. A family birthday, anniversary, or special occasion was a celebration never forgotten. Devoted to her family, she was cherished by all and her generous spirit will be greatly missed.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur A Patenaude and his late wife Rita, and Robert A Patenaude and his wife Pauline, two daughters, Pauline Girard and her husband Ronald, Annette Richard and her husband Lionel. She was the mother of the late Claire Corrigan. Germaine is also survived by stepdaughter, Gale
Thornton and her husband John, a stepson, Joseph Kotlarski, twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the
late Arthur Boudreau, Annette Martel, Lea Marcoux, Estelle Swiech, Norman Boudreau, Lillian Dube and Raymond Boudreau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11am in the Chapel of the St. Antoine Residence, 10 Rhodes Ave, North Smithfield, RI 02896. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Family & friends are invited to attend.In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the St. Antoine residence in appreciation of the loving care they provided to Germaine and others.
