"Manny" 49, passed unexpectedly on October 10th. He was the son of the late Manuel D. and Ana (Bala) Andrade. Many was born in Sao Tiago, Cape Verde on December 30, 1964. He emigrated from Brava, Cape Verde, at the age of four and joined his family in Central Falls, RI. Manny spent most of his formative years in Pawtucket. A graduate of William M. Davies Technical School in 1982, Manny was a tool maker by trade for several years before moving to Charlestown, RI. he had been employed as a commercial fisherman for over 25 years.
Adventurous by nature, Manny thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and had a simple outlook on life. His charisma and generous nature gained him many friendships throughout his life. Although his journey was brief, the smiles and good times he shared with others made it full.
He will be remembered as a loyal son, a loving father, a devoted brother, a caring uncle, and a friend forever
He is survived by a daughter, Caytlin Pearce, his siblings, Gabriel, Jose, Mario, Victor and Julio Andrade, Belinda Fernandes, Madelena Silva and Dulceneia Pires and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ovidio Andrade. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10am in St. Maria Goretti Church, Power Rd, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6 to 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.
