"Stymie" 65, Passed away peacefully on October 20, 2014 at the home of his daughter.
He was the long time companion of Allison Hammond.
Born in New Orleans, LA, he was the son of the late Herman Sr. and Lydia (Barbarin) Martin, he lived in New York until recently.
Herman worked as a horse groomer at various racetracks up and down the East Coast for over 45 years.
Besides Allison, he leaves his only daughter, Lydia and her husband, John Trojan of Lincoln, and 5 sons, Tommie Ruffin of Central Falls, RI, Alex MacMillan of Dorchester MA, Thomas and his wife Emily Hammond, of North Carolina, Jermaine and his wife Azeb Hammond and Johnathan Hammond, all of Hudson Falls, NY. Herman also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of Barbara Hudson, Brenda Mason, Gwendolyn Robair and Jerome Martin. He was also the brother of the late Carolyn Edwards, and his god daughter Cynthia Hudson, all of New Orleans LA.
Funeral services will be held on a later date, and burial will be private.
