85, died on November 8th with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Claire P. (Hudon) Fournier. On May 14th they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He was a Hunt and School St resident, before moving to 1 Mendon Rd, Cumberland.
He was the son of the late Raymond L. and Mary (Pelletier) Fournier.
Ray retired from Diamond Lumber after many years as truck driver. He served as a US Marine during the Korean War. He was a member of the Troop 2 Boy Scout Committee and was an active member and Eucharistic Minister at St. Matthew Church. Ray loved being "Pepere" especially while fishing on his boat.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Anne Marie Geoffroy, three sons, Michel Fournier, Marc Fournier and his wife Kerri, and Donald Fournier, nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Brad, Jessica, Ryan, Stephanie, Eric, Matthew and Tyler, six great grandsons, three brothers, Henri, Gilbert and Paul Fournier.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:15am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Spirit Parish, Dexter St, Central Falls at 9:30am. Burial with Military Honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Troop 2 Boy Scouts, Central Falls, via 1030 Dexter St, Central Falls, RI 02863.
