Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Giacomo and Mary (DeChristoper) Salera.
He was the proprietor of G. Salera Paving for many years. Giacomo is survived by his children, Mary Ellen, Giacomo, Marc, Alexendria, Anthony Salera and Billie Dorian Pacheco Salera, his siblings, Anna Stanley, Connie Correra, Jackie Dunlap, Shirley Silvestro, Charles Salera, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Michelle Mollica Dailey and Michael Salera.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 10am in the Keefe Funeral home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 8pm.
