"Mimi" 93, passed on February 2nd. She was the wife of the late Filinto Couto. Born in Brava, Cape Verde, a daughter of the late Boaventura and Margarida (Gomes) Ramos.
She is survived by Antonio Gomes and Domingas Fortes, both of Pawtucket, whom she raised as her own children, a niece, Marguerita Lobo of Halifax, MA, and many other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews residing in RI, France and Portugal. She was the sister of the late Maria Mercedes Ramos, Laura Ramos Rosa and Joao Ramos and aunt of the late Boaventura DaRosa and Jose Joaquim DaRosa
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Edward Church, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 7pm.
