He was the son of the late Alexander and Lillian (Bailey) Brown.
John was the proprietor of J.W. Brown and Son Masonry Contractors for over 60 years. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by three sons, John Brown, Richard Brown and his wife, Cheryl and Alan Brown and his wife, Patricia, a daughter, Brenda Franco and her husband, Joseph, two brothers, Kenneth and Donald Brown, 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Linda Bailey and grandfather of the late Lynde Groccia.
His funeral will be held Saturday, May 2nd at 9:45am with a service at 10am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial with military honors will be in the Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 to 8pm.
