73, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Miriam Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Nova Scotia, Canada she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Ruth (Wilson) McGovern.
Shirley worked at Royal Robes in Woonsocket, Mine Safety and Smithfield Plumbing and Heating, both in Smithfield. Shirley was an amazing Mom and Nana who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her outgoing personality and kindness she shared with everyone. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Marceau and her husband Russell, two grandsons, Brad and Thomas, a sister, Delma Debaggis of East Falmouth, MA, two brothers, Robert McGovern of Attleboro, MA and Percy McGovern of Maine and many nieces and nephews.
Services are private, if desired contributions in her memory may be made to the American Lung Association.
