passed away at the age of 89 on Saturday, May 23rd. Orlando was a resident of Lincoln, Rhode Island and married to the late Carmela M. Gasperini for over 65 years. Born in Pawtucket, RI of the late Guerrino and Teresa (Eusebi) Gasperini, Italian natives of Fano, Pesaro Italy. Orlando served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a Prisoner of War (POW) in 1946. He survived by a son Lonnie Gasperini, five grandchildren, Tydell, Lonnie, Karen, Isaiah and Annmarie Gasperini, three great grandchildren, Nasavell, Arianna and Carmela. Two nieces Gail and the late Holly Gasperini and his nephew Tulio Gasperini. Born to his late brother Tulio Gasperini the great accordion composer and educator of music. Orlando lived a full life and always kept a smile on his face.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 28th from 5 to 7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
