Clarisse was born in Brava Cabo Verde to Eduino "Mulato" Tavares and Julia Da Lomba. Left to mourn her loss are her children Julia Duarte, Aires Duarte and Benvinda Gamboa. She was a woman of strength and resilience who lived to provide for her children and grandchildren. Her love for them was endless. Her patience and kindness made her a one-of-a-kind babysitter for several children.
Clarisse is also survived by her brothers, Miguel "Manelato" Tavares, with whom she lived with, Jose "Djedje" Tavares and Aires Da Lomba, sister Ruth Tavares and grandchildren Marina, Deonise, Marco and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held Monday July 20th at 10am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Please arrive prior to 9:45am. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence. Calling hours will be held Sunday, July 19th from 5 to 8pm.
