91, passed peacefully into eternal life surrounded by her loved ones on July 24th. Do-Do, her nickname given to her by her eldest nephew, Amen,is still used today by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was born in Central Falls to the late Ameen & Josephine (Zakoor) Kilsey. She attended Central Falls High School until she left to care for her mother.
Her career began at the family restaurants, The White Way System as an operations manager. She continued working for the family as they embarked on a new business venture of vending and catering as the menu coordinator, managing the school lunch programs and the hot food division at Chuck Wagon Food Services until her retirement.
Ethel, a loyal and dedicated sister, is the last survivor of her siblings, Mary with whom she lived for 73 years, Alice K. Maurice, Frederick and the Honorable George Kilsey. Do-Do resided with her niece, Audrey A. Kilsey and nephew, Wayne D. Kilsey.
Do-Do was a parishioner of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church in Pawtucket, and a member of its Ladies' Society. Additionally, she was a member of the Aleppian Aid Society of Central Falls (ancestors of Aleppo, Syria) and its Ladies' Society.
Do-Do had a love for life and traveled extensively, often with her nephews and nieces. She had a passion for cooking and baking and shared her recipes by graciously entertaining friends and family. She was a warm, generous and ambitious person who dedicated her life to her relatives. She exemplified family and devoted herself to them. Her love taught her family to love and be loved! Her family cherished the foundation and values she instilled. They were everything to her and she was everything to them. She is the relative every individual would be ecstatic and proud to have; she unconditionally bestowed the greatest gift of all, LOVE!
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 26th at St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church,
249 High St., Pawtucket, from 4 to 7 pm. The funeral service will be celebrated at the church on Monday at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church in her memory.
