92, passed on August 20th at Grandview Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Artur F. Santos. Born in Bristol,RI, she was a daughter of the late Jose and Sylvina Martins.
Maria lived in RI until her retirement from Central Braid, Central Falls, then spent remaining years between Portugal, Hawaii, California and settled back in RI.
She is survived by her children, Antonio Santos, Joaquim Santos and his wife Janet, Joseph Santos, her sister, Ana Reis, six grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Augusta Barata, Daniel Martins and Celeste Martins. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, August 26th in St. Jude Church; Front St, Lincoln at 10am. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Friends of Our Lady of Fatima, 1 Fatima Dr, Cumberland, RI 02864.
