79, passed away at home on August 29th surrounded by her loving children.
Born in Wake County, North Carolina, Elouise was preceded in death by her husband Edward Wiley Smith. Eloise was the 5th child of 11 children born to the late Lorenzo and Sadie Barbour.
Elouise's favorite pastime was being around her children and family, traveling to annual family reunions in North Carolina, playing spades, taking trips to Atlantic City with her children, relatives and friends, cooking great southern meals for Sunday family gatherings.
Elouise is survived by her loving children, Costella L. Barbour, Thata D. Shelton, Lisha C. LaClair (Richard LaClair) and Keyvis E. Smith (Christine T. Smith). Son-in-law Charles E. Shelton, all of Pawtucket, RI. 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be at the St. James Baptist Church, 340 South Main Street, Woonsocket, RI. Viewing Thursday September 3rd from 9am - 11am and service to follow. Burial at North Burial Ground, North Main Street, Providence, RI. Following the burial, repasts will be held at the Providence Fire Fighters Post on Printerly St. Providence.
