35, "Pooh" passed peacefully in her sleep at home on the morning of Saturday August 29, 2015. Heather passed due to complications from pre-existing health conditions she has been battling for more than two years.

Heather Cabral was born on June 30, 1980 at Woonsocket Hospital, Woonsocket, RI. She was the third child, and first and only daughter of Marsha Gauvin-Crowley.

Heather was the truest of friends, always putting others before herself. She loved being a stay at home mom. Her family was the most important thing in the world to her. Her mother and brothers were truly her best friends. Heathers heart was so big she loved without measure. Her son Taylor was her heart, her nieces and nephews her life. Her love for her husband Asmar was unconditional.

To Heather if you were a true friend you were family. She was a sister to many not defined solely by blood. She was a beloved Auntie not just to her brothers children but to many of her friends children as well.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; getting together for birthday, holidays, and any days. She loved the beach, the drive-in, and camping. Any excuse was a good excuse for a BBQ or bonfire. Heather will long be remembered for her Sheppard's pie empanadas and pineapple upside down cakes.

Heathers hobbies were art, music, movies, and writing. She enjoyed coloring and making picture collages for family and friends. She loved her sons drawings. She listened to all different kinds of music, but her favorite were the original creations by her husband and friends. She was always one of their biggest fans. Whether it was at the drive-in or at home Heather loved a good horror movie. Like her brother Eric, Heather was a poet, but unfortunately she rarely shared what she wrote.

Heather was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Ernest Gauvin Sr. and niece Phoenix Martinez. She was joined in death the morning she passed by her cousin Larry Beauregard.

Heather is survived by her husband of 12 years, Asmar "Eddie" A Johnson, and 10 year old son Taylor A. Johnson, Pawtucket; Her two step sons, Brandon M. Lenehan and Anthony T. Lenehan, Georgia; Her mother Marsha Gauvin-Crowley, Central Falls, and stepfather who raised her John Crowley, Pawtucket; Her biological father Thomas M. Cabral Sr., Cumberland; Her maternal grandmother Doris Gauvin, Pawtucket; Two brothers Eric J. Gauvin and wife to be Lisa Pironti, Cumberland; and Thomas M. Cabral Jr. and wife Kerry Cabral, Lincoln; Her three brothers Earl, Joseph, and Paul Martinez, Pawtucket; and her half brother and sister Thomas A. Cabral and Amie Davies, RI.

Heather is also survived by four Aunts Marge Garon, Lincoln; Diane Tarrvis, Florida; Charlotte DaLuz, Pawtucket; Karen Singleton, West Warwick; and an Uncle Ernest Gauvin Jr., Arizona; Her beloved nieces and nephews, Alicia, Aryn, Christy, Shyla, Kaylem, Brayden, and Keira, Cumberland; Anastacia, Fransheska, Jose' Bradley, Elijah, her Godson Dimitrius, and Catherin-Ann Serenity "Heather Jr.", Lincoln; Lucian and Minerva, Pawtucket; Princetta Johnson, Providence; and the rest of the Johnson family; many cousins and countless friends.

Services will be held from 4-6pm on Saturday, September 5th at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI 02865. A pot luck reception for friends and family will be held following. Location to be determined.
